Please come and join us for any or all of the above activities. Tea and biscuits (maybe cake) will be available as on a Sunday morning. Donations to local charities will be much appreciated. 2019 Special Events

Sunday 27th October – PUMPKIN SUNDAY – 10.30am

No matter what the weather is like please support this event .  It will be held in the meeting room from 10.30 to 12.30/1pm.  All proceeds will go to our chosen charities..
Apart from the usual pumpkin carving competition for children only  (with prizes) there will also be a Pin a smile on the pumpkin.  This is for fun only and is open to adults as well as children.  No charge .
For 50 pence a go everyone can guess the weight of Big Tom (WHO IS STILL BEING FED) donated by Maz and Alfie Edmunds.  Pete Downes is donating a prize for the winner.
Food will include a choice of four different flavours of soup and a roll for £1.  All home made and mostly with veg from plots.   All drinks will be 50 pence.  Savouries and cakes will be 50 pence each.
If you are around please do come.   Last year we raised £1500 for our charities.  We did not think we could ever better this. However to date the amount is a staggering £2500. This is due partly to the work done by the Funraisers supported by the Committee. However most of it is due to the generosity of the plotholders who support our events.
We look forward to seeing many of you on the 27th especially newcomers to the site.

PS  Donations of cakes accepted on the day.

Sunday December 15th – CHRISTMAS – 10.30am

Our Christmas Celebrations. Tea, Coffee, mince pies and other tasty bits on offer. A raffle will take place and Father Xmas might appear.

As always all of the money raised from the Special Events and the Sunday café (tea, coffee, biscuits/cake) go to our local Charities. In 2018, £1500 was raised and was equally divided between Chloe and Sophie’s  Ears Fund (CSSEF) and The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. Can we increase this sum in 2019? This can only be achieved with your continued support and many thanks for doing so to date.
